City Utilities, the Salute to Construction Council, and the Discovery Center are challenging citizens to make at least one change in their home or business that reduces the amount of energy or water used. Make a pledge to the It's In Your Hands campaign. City Utilities is also offering rebates on several energy and water conservation items.

Adopt-A-Stream - Help keep Springfield's streams clean.

Ozark Greenways monthly volunteer workdays. Most third Saturdays of the month 9am-noon. Contact Lori Tack at (417) 864-2015 or by email at lori@ozarkgreenways.org for monthly details.

Neighborwoods Program - Provides opportunities for volunteers to plant and care for trees in city right-of-way to enhance Springfield's community forest.

Treekeepers - Ozarks Greenways trains volunteers in proper care of urban community trees.
